Texas: Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi in April was absolutely gorgeous.  The temperature was in the 80s and it didn't rain much at all.  I was so excited to visit Mustang Island State Park.  I dipped my toes in the Gulf of Mexico, collected a few shells, saw a jelly fish and laughed at the seagulls jumping the waves hitting the shore.

Check out my favorite pictures:

After Mustang Island I decided to play tourist and followed the highway tot he Port Aransas Ferry. It passes between Port Aransas and Aransas Pass and while it's only a 7 minute ride it was super fun! I caught a glimpse of a Pelican and they way they fly is kind of funny.

Another fun tourist thing to do is to check out the USS Lexington, docked in Corpus Christi Bay.  I wish I'd had more time to check out all the exhibits and learn more about this giant ship and aircraft carrier.

It's quite a large aircraft carrier.

The view from the ship overlooking the City of Corpus Christi is so damn cool.

Driving across this bridge is a little scary at first but after a doze times across I'm a pro.

I definitely want to get back here with my family one day.
